More than 350 people – young and old – attended the Minions Movie Night at Omaka Marae last Friday.
The event was a fundraiser for the Māori Women’s Welfare League and provided an opportunity for Blenheim people to experience some ‘Marae style’ entertainment and whakawhanaungatanga. A big screen was hired for the night and there were food stalls for those wanting to snack during the movie. Feedback on the night was extremely positive with a number of people commenting that it was their first time visiting a Marae and how impressed they were.
